Local Visibility: How Customers Find You in Your City

Building local visibility: Google Business, city pages, reviews and local keywords — the practical guide.

When someone searches for "Webagentur Homburg", you want to be right at the top. Local visibility is especially crucial for service providers — because your customers often search with a location in mind.

The 4 levers for local visibility

1. Google Business Profile

First things first: your Google Business Profile is your business card on Google. It appears on the right of the search results and on Google Maps. Fill it in completely: description, opening hours, photos, services, phone number.

2. Reviews

Google trusts businesses with many positive reviews. Actively ask satisfied customers for a review — ideally right after a successfully completed project.

3. Local city pages

Create a separate page for every city you serve. "/de/homburg/", "/de/saarbruecken/" etc. These pages rank for local search queries and show Google where you are active.

4. Consistent NAP data

NAP = Name, Address, Phone. This data must be identical everywhere: website, Google Business, business directories, social media. Inconsistencies confuse Google.

What we do at Adlegio

For our own visibility we have created 16 city pages — from Homburg to Saarbrücken to Mannheim. Each page is written individually and optimised for local keywords. The result: we appear on the first page for "Webagentur + [city]".
