3. Hosting and server log files

This website is operated on servers of Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, in data centres in Germany. Hetzner acts as our processor (Art. 28 GDPR).

When you visit the website, our web server automatically stores information transmitted by your browser in server log files:

Processing is carried out on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the secure, stable and efficient provision of our website. The log files are automatically deleted after 14 days at the latest.

4. Contact and project requests

If you contact us via the contact form, a project request or email, the information you provide will be stored by us for the purpose of processing your request and for any follow-up questions:

The processing of this data is based on Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) and Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in efficient communication). Enquiries that do not lead to a contract are deleted no later than 12 months after the last contact. If a contract is concluded, the statutory retention periods apply (§§ 147 AO / 257 HGB, 8 to 10 years).

Enquiries submitted via our landing pages (e.g. /start/) are transferred for processing to our own customer management system Kontira, which we operate ourselves on servers in Germany. Notification e-mails about your enquiry are sent via Amazon Simple Email Service of Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL, 38 Avenue John F. Kennedy, 1855 Luxembourg, Frankfurt region; Amazon acts as our processor. As Amazon belongs to a US group, access from the USA cannot be completely ruled out; any transfer is based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

5. Cookies and consent

Strictly necessary cookies are used for session management (e.g. login, language selection, CSRF protection). They are required for the operation of the website and are set on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR and § 25 (2) TDDDG (strictly necessary); no consent is required for them.

We only use marketing or tracking technologies with your prior, explicit consent (cookie banner). Without your consent, no such technologies are loaded and no data is transmitted to the providers concerned. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future via the cookie settings.

6. Audience measurement / ad tracking (OpenAI ChatGPT Ads)

On our advertising landing pages (e.g. /start/) we use – exclusively with your consent – the measurement pixel “OpenAI ChatGPT Ads” of OpenAI OpCo, LLC (hereinafter “OpenAI”). We use it to measure the success of our ads served via ChatGPT/OpenAI (conversion tracking) and to optimise our campaigns.

The pixel is loaded from OpenAI's servers (bzrcdn.openai.com), stores and/or reads information on your device and in doing so transmits usage and device data (including IP address, page visited, time, interactions) to OpenAI. The legal basis is your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR in conjunction with § 25 (1) TDDDG. You can withdraw your consent at any time via the cookie settings.

Transfer to third countries: OpenAI is based in the USA; your data may be transferred to the USA. The transfer is based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (adequacy decision of the European Commission) and additionally on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses pursuant to Art. 44 et seq. GDPR. No such transfer takes place without your consent.

7. Google Ads (conversion measurement, Google Consent Mode)

On certain pages we use – exclusively with your consent – Google Ads conversion tracking (provider: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). This allows us to measure whether a visit via one of our Google ads has led to an enquiry.

Without your consent, the Google tag is not loaded at all; there is then no connection to Google. Only after you have given your consent does your browser load the tag from Google (Google Consent Mode v2) and cookies are set – in particular “_gcl_au” (first-party cookie on adlegio.de, retention period approx. 3 months) to attribute ad clicks. If ad personalisation is enabled, additional Google third-party cookies (e.g. “IDE” and “test_cookie” on the domain doubleclick.net, retention period up to approx. 13 months) may be set.

The legal basis is your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR in conjunction with § 25 (1) TDDDG. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future via the cookie settings.

Transfer to third countries: In this context, data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA. The transfer is based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (adequacy decision of the European Commission) and additionally on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. 8. Data security

This website uses SSL/TLS encryption throughout for secure data transmission. All data you send to us is encrypted in transit.

In addition, we use technical and organizational measures to protect your data against manipulation, loss or unauthorized access.

9. No automated decision-making

We do not use automated decision-making processes, including profiling, in accordance with Art. 22 GDPR.
